SoHo is famous for it’s chic stores and cobblestoned streets, and it’s the go-to destination for fashionistas, coffee addicts and art junkies. It’s also biker-friendly, with bike lanes and paths on the major streets and relatively low traffic on the beautiful side streets. And from Arlo SoHo, where guests have access to custom Priority Bicycles, many of the neighborhood’s must-see attractions are less than a ten minute ride away. Here’s our guide of where to bike in SoHo.

La Colombe Torrefaction

270 Lafayette St, New York, NY 10012

6 minutes

First stop: coffee! Soho is packed with great spots to get your caffeine fix. Right now, we’re loving La Colombe Torrefaction. With black and tans on tap and draft lattes, this chic space is perfect for a strong cuppa paired with an almond croissant. Don’t let the line deter you – it goes quickly.

New Museum of Contemporary Art

235 Bowery, New York, NY 10002

8 minutes

Less than a 10 minute ride away you can find the ultra modern New Museum of Contemporary Art, designed by Tokyo-based architects Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa. It is a gloriously cool seven-story, eight-level structure that looks like a white stack of haphazardly tiered books. The New Museum is always showing some fearless exhibition, so be sure to check it out.

Birchbox

433 W Broadway, New York, NY 10012

3 minutes

Yes, the online beauty box delivery service has an IRL brick and mortar store, right here in SoHo. Browse through endless hair, makeup and body goodies (for guys and gals), and even curate your own Birchbox in store. These sample sizes are perfect to take on a flight, so don’t worry about TSA tossing out your beauty finds.

Dominique Ansel Bakery

189 Spring St, New York, NY 10012

2 minutes

No visit to SoHo is complete without a trip to Dominique Ansel Bakery, home to the original cronut. If that’s out of stock (several years in, the croissant donut combo is still a top-seller) we also recommend gorging on a DKA (Dominique’s Kouign Amann, a sort of caramelized croissant), the Cookie Shot, and the Perfect Little Egg Sandwich.

Artists Space

55 Walker St, New York, NY 10013

10 minutes

This alt-art space showcases emotional work by artists like figurative painter Lukas Duwenhögger’s and German filmmaker and artist Hito Steyerl. The compact studio is bright, airy and sunlit—perfect for taking in some unique exhibitions without exhausting yourself. Check in often for the latest alt exhibits.

COS

129 Spring St, New York, NY 10012

3 minutes

While we love designer as much as the next fashion blogger, COS (H&M’s fancier yet still budget-friendly sister) is the destination for Swedish minimalist fashion. The SoHo location is particularly appealing for another reason: it houses a two-century-old well. And to top it off, it’s reputedly haunted, being the site of the infamous Manhattan Well Murder of 1800, which saw Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton successfully defend Levi Weeks in the first murder trial of the U.S. See the brick well for yourself in the men’s department, left of the register.

Dr. Smood

470 Broome St, New York, NY 10013

6 minutes

Perfect to keep your healthy lifestyle goals on track while traveling: this dairy-free Danish health concept is a modern apothecary of sorts with minimal, functional and relaxed Scandinavian design. The nutritionist-guided menu displays Dr Smood’s (Smood = Smart + Food) color-coded philosophy, which is organized into health focuses: immunity, energy, general health, beauty, detox and power.
